Firstrust Bank in Bryn Mawr Robbed at Gunpoint

The armed robbery of an undisclosed amount of cash occurred Sunday.

Two men robbed the  in Bryn Mawr at gunpoint at 11:21 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, Lower Merion police reported Monday.

The robbers, one of whom brandished a handgun, got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The first suspect, who reportedly had the gun, is described as a 5-foot-11 to 6-foot black man with an athletic build, police said. He was wearing a dark blue or black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and gray sneakers, and his face was covered with a white or gray shirt.

The other suspect is a thin 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 black man, police said. He was wearing a dark blue or black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, tan work boots, a yellow baseball hat and sunglasses. 

The two suspects were last seen walking north from the bank toward the Bryn Mawr Square Shopping Center parking lot, police said. No vehicle was seen.

Anyone who has information about this robbery is asked to contact Lower Merion police at 610-649-1000. Anyone who believes they see either of these men, who police say are considered armed and dangerous, should call 9-1-1 immediately.
