Bryn Mawr ACME Reopening Delayed

Rainy weather has pushed back construction efforts on what is being expanded into ACME's flagship store.

Bad weather has pushed back the reopening date of the Bryn Mawr ACME, though exactly when it will reopen has not yet been established.

The original reopening date was scheduled to be March 2, though bad weather—particularly —has delayed construction during the past four or more months, said Paul Freehart, senior manager of construction and project management for Supervalu, which owns ACME.

“This foul weather really hit us hard at a time we looked to really progress quickly and effectively with our construction,” Freehart wrote in an email. “2011 was not very cooperative weather wise but we are working diligently to make up for a tremendous amount of lost time.”

Freehart said he is anticipating a late spring 2012 grand reopening and said he would share the exact date as soon as it has been established. Freehart added everyone at ACME is looking forward to serving the Bryn Mawr community again as soon as possible.
