Drunk Man 'Looking for Place to Sleep,' Police Say

The man is also unable to answer questions about his date of birth.

A 20-year-old resident of Glen Ridge, New Jersey was cited for underage drinking after he "tried to find a place to sleep" on Nov. 10, at approximately 1:57 a.m.

A resident living above Maloney's Pub in Bryn Mawr flagged down a police officer walking down Lancaster Avenue.  The woman told police that an unknown man was trying to enter her apartment from the alley entrance.

Police made their way around the building where the 20-year-old was being escorted down the stairs by another resident of the building.

Police asked the man what he was doing, and he told police that he was "just looking for a place to sleep."

Police smelled alcohol on the man's person and saw bloodshot eyes, and then they asked for identification.

The man provided a photo I.D., but could not answer questions about his date of birth or age, police said.

Police eventually learned that the I.D. was fake, and the man was cited for underage drinking.
