Karen Vitale, Neighbor

Karen&#39;s career has taken her from the coalmines of West Virginia to<br>the gemstone markets of Thailand, but writing has remained at the<br>heart of every adventure. Prior to writing for Patch, she served as<br>editor-in-chief for several business newsletters and directed product design and development for The Franklin Mint for more than 15 years.

In 2010, she escaped from the corporate world to launch Market Muse Creative Consulting, so she could spend more time writing and less time on the road, worrying about whether her kids would recognize her anymore.

Karen graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and communication. She loved the Main Line area so much, she never left, eventually settling down in Havertown with her Philly-born husband and two kids—who can now pick her out of a lineup with ease.
