Lower Merion Police Officer Found Dead

Sean Quinn, 46, died Monday morning of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Philadelphia's FDR Park, township police said.

Lower Merion police officer Sean Quinn was found dead Monday morning in South Philadelphia as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to LMPD Superintendent Michael McGrath. The township released the following statement at 12:23 p.m. Monday: Lower Merion Police Superintendant Michael McGrath regrets to report that Officer Sean Quinn, a respected veteran of the force, was found this morning deceased as the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Quinn was found unresponsive is his personal vehicle which was located in FDR Park located on Pattison Ave. in South Philadelphia. Would-Be Burglar Pries Window on Limberlost Lane, Police Said

Cops made two public-intoxication arrests in Bryn Mawr and Rosemont last week, too.

The following police incidents happened in the Bryn Mawr-Gladwyne area in the past week, Lower Merion police told news media Monday afternoon: Attempted burglary: A resident of the 1200 block of Limberlost Lane in Gladwyne reported to police that the exterior of a dining room window had been damaged by someone attempting to pry open the window between Jan. 23 and Jan. 30. Public intoxication: A 21-year-old Rosemont College student tried to enter a private home he mistakenly thought was his college room about 3 a.m. Jan. 29, police said. A resident of the 1200 block of Wendover Road in Rosemont called police to report a man knocked at her door asking to come in before walking away. Police stopped the man soon afterward and charged him with …
