Snow, High Winds Expected Wednesday

Forecasters say today’s severe weather could lead to more power outages.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 6 a.m. Wednesday through 6 a.m. Thursday. The NWS forecast calls for 1 to 3 inches of snow with winds reaching 20 to 30 mph and gusts reaching 50 mph. The storm is expected to start as light rain or snow in the morning and increase in the afternoon, with the heaviest precipitation coming late in the day or early evening. The NWS expects the precipitation to change to all snow overnight and gradually taper off. The Winter Weather Advisory means that the conditions will cause travel difficulties. The NWS advises that drivers be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility.

Sandy Blows Trampoline Into Tree

This is an unusual sight. What other unusual sights did you find during Hurricane Sandy and her aftermath?

Hurricane Sandy’s wind and rain brought down trees and power lines and moved a number of things around. I found this trampoline on Irish Road in Berwyn, near Conestoga High School. The home appears to be under construction. This is not your usual storm damage. Did you see anything unusual during Hurricane Sandy or after? Upload your picture or let us know in the comments below.
