The branch opened for business on Wednesday.
Citizens Bank opened its Bryn Mawr branch on Wednesday. A grand opening is planned, but a date has not yet been set, said Branch Manager Nina Cola. The bank, located at 733 W. Lancaster Ave., is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The branch is closed on Sundays. Citizens Bank replaces what used to be a Dunkin Donuts. The 1040 W. Lancaster Avenue shop's last day is Friday.
Ooh La La Boutique is closing its doors on Friday after 12 years in business. "This is something I have done and loved for many years," owner Anita Pesot said. "This is a very sad part of my life right now." Pesot decided to close the shop in the past two months because "people are cautiously buying," she said. She also did not want to sign a new three-year lease. Pesot said she's not retiring—she's considering doing something else in the accessory business. Her customers have been wonderful, she added. "The customers have enhanced my life," Pesot said.

The restaurant opened over the weekend.
Mrs. Marty's Deli opened in Bryn Mawr on Saturday, said manager John Fitzsimmons. Business has been good in the deli's first few days, he said Tuesday afternoon. They went with a soft opening and decided to see how it went, Fitzsimmons said, adding the restaurant has gotten a pretty good lunch rush. Mrs. Marty's Deli also has locations in Broomall and in Media. The Bryn Mawr location is at 22 N. Bryn Mawr Ave. (next to the UPS Store). The restaurant serves the same traditional Jewish deli dishes as the other two locations, and offers both sit-down service for between 65 and 70 people and take-out, owner Marty Godfrey said in January. The deli is open seven days a week, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m…

Construction has begun on a Bryn Mawr branch of Citizens Bank, replacing a Dunkin' Donuts that was torn down at 733 W. Lancaster Ave., according to the Main Line Times. Citizens Bank announced earlier this month that it would close several of its area branch locations, though regional media representative Sylvia Bronner confirmed to Patch its Bala Cynwyd and Narberth branches would not be closing. Citizens Bank's fourth proposal for the Bryn Mawr site was approved in 2009 (see PDF), though not without some concern from Lower Merion Township commissioners, staff and residents.
