On Tuesday, Eric Campbell starts a Main Line-wide job at Patch as colleague Sam Strike takes the reins in Bryn Mawr, Gladwyne, Rosemont and Villanova.
Hello out there, readers of Bryn Mawr-Gladwyne Patch. I'm Eric Campbell, your Local Editor since last September and a Patch editor in Lower Merion since 2010. I want to thank you for all your support and to update you on what's happening with the site. Beginning on Tuesday, you'll have two editors focusing on Bryn Mawr-Gladwyne Patch, rather than one. I'm moving into a new job with Patch, as Community Manager/Associate Regional Editor for the Main Line. It's time for me to say goodbye as the editor of Bryn Mawr-Gladwyne Patch. It seems only fitting that, after nearly two years here, I was able to celebrate the grand reopening of Ludington Library and a fantastic Bryn Mawr Day with you in my last weekend of coverage. “Honoring the Past; Embracing our Future,” as the Bryn Mawr 100’s motto goes. You’ve given me the chance to record a piece of the community’s rich history—its moments of pure happiness and great sorrow. From the first Board of Commissioners meeting, covering a 10.8 percent tax increase, to the closing of Borders, from Hurricane Irene to the opening of the first all-vegan restaurant in Bryn Mawr, and from Gladwyne firefighters risking their lives to rescue citizens stranded in …

Business owners are encouraged to claim listings in Patch Places.
When Patch launched in your town, editors and freelancers ventured to local businesses in order to collect information for our directory. Patch Places is a spot where users can find descriptions, hours, accepted payment methods and much more for spots around town. All users can add events taking place at local spots, can rate the business on a scale of one to five stars and can add a review. But owners of local businesses get extra bonuses when they claim a listing. Owners or managers should search for their business listing and select "claim your listing" in order to make updates to the page. A form will pop up asking for your name, contact information and proof of ownership. Within a few days, someone from Patch should contact you to …
