Bank Robbed in City Ave. Acme

Lower Merion police and the FBI are investigating.

The Lower Merion Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public's assistance to identify a black man who robbed a Citizens Bank branch inside an ACME Market at 121 East City Line Avenue in Bala Cynwyd on Saturday. According to the FBI, at about 10:47 a.m. Saturday, the man approached the bank and handed a note to the teller, demanding money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled the area in a dark-colored SUV, according to the FBI's Philadelphia Division Public Affairs Office. The man is described as a black man in his late 20's, about 6 foot 2 inches tall, with a goatee or possibly a beard. Man Charged With Bank Robbery in Bryn Mawr

Omar Muse was already in police custody in connection with a Conshohocken robbery.

A Philadelphia man was on Thursday charged with robbing the Bryn Mawr Wells Fargo bank last Friday, three days after he was arrested in connection with another bank robbery in Conshohocken. Omar Muse, 30, is charged with first-degree felony robbery with threat of immediate serious injury, as well as misdemeanor counts of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, terroristic threats and possession of an instrument of crime, according to court documents. Muse was arrested Monday and charged with robbing a TD Bank in Conshohocken the previous day. In each robbery, surveillance footage showed the robber's face as he presented a demand note to a teller. Muse is due in court Friday, Oct. 26, for a preliminary hearing. He is being held…

Police Search for Bank Robbery Suspect Seen in Gladwyne

The man made off with $1,000 in cash from a Conshohocken bank.

Whitemarsh Township police believe a man robbed a Conshohocken bank Monday afternoon after being seen at a Gladwyne bank about an hour earlier. Police said that at 3:38 p.m., a 6-foot-2-inch white man with a medium build gave a written demand for cash to a teller at the Firstrust at 15 Ridge Pike in Conshohocken. He implied he had a weapon but did not display it, police said. After the man was given about $1,000 cash, police said, he ran out of the bank and fled east. Police said they believe the same man was at the Firstrust in Gladwyne an hour earlier, but it was not immediately clear what he did there.
