Harriton Takes PIAA Girls Lacrosse Championship

With an 8-7 OT win over rival Radnor, the Rams won their first state girls' lacrosse title.

It took them an extra 28 seconds, but the Harriton girls lacrosse team topped Radnor 8-7 on Saturday to win the school's first PIAA girls lacrosse championship.

According to Philly.com, just 28 seconds into overtime, Harriton senior Caleigh Foust scored a goal—her 95th of the season—to give the Rams (25-2) their third win over Radnor this season and the title.

"The difference in the game, really, was Caleigh Foust," Harriton coash George Dick told a reporter with the paper. "She basically decided she was going to win the game."

While the girls coasted through the district and state playoffs, winning all nine of their games, according to the Main Line Times the title game itself was no cakewalk: the Rams fell behind 5-1 in the first half before rallying for the win.
