Ninth Annual Alex Wake Memorial 5K Run & 1 Mile Family Fun Walk

The Baldwin School's Ninth Annual Alex Wake Memorial 5K Run & 1 Mile Family Fun Walk begins at 9 a.m. on campus (701 Montgomery Avenue in Bryn Mawr). Participants run and walk through neighboring neighborhoods, monitored by the Lower Merion Police.

More than 400 Main Line community members, including Alex Wake's family, friends and classmates, will honor her memory by participating.

Alex Wake, a talented 14 year old student at The Baldwin School, was the victim of a horrific act of domestic violence that took not only her life, but that of her mother and grandparents on January 15, 2002. Over the past eight years, this event has raised more than $250,000 to fund an endowed scholarship in Alex's name and provide programming to educate students on domestic violence.
