Andy Reid Hired as Kansas City Chiefs Coach

Former Philadelphia Eagles coach gets new gig in Kansas City.

Well, that didn't take long.

Less than a week after being dismissed as coach of the Philadelpha Eagles, Andy Reid has landed his next gig as coach of the Kansas City Chiefs.

According to numerous sports websites, Reid was flying to Kansas City to accept the job.

Reid's lawyers were ironing out details of the contract, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The Kansas City Star was also reporting that the deal was done.

Reid was fired Monday by Birds owner Jeff Lurie following a 4-12 season and ending a 14-year tenure.

Reid suffered through a dismal season and also on a personal end this year. His son Garrett died of a heroin overdose during training camp.

Reid is the winningest coach in Philadelphia Eagles history, having led the team to six NFC East titles, four NFC Championship game appearances and one visit to the Super Bowl.

His 140 victories are a franchise record and rank 22nd on the all-time NFL coaching list.

Vick, Juan Castillo as D-co, after hiring Washburn D-line coach,..letting Dawkins walk with no replacement,Out coached/lost as favorite in 4 out of 5 NFC championship games, same mistakes over and over, wasting time outs, no 2 minute offense, "got to do a better job", Red zone offense worst in nfl, constant penalties, worst turnover ratio in nfl by far, "My responsibility"..Worst collection of gutless players who are convinced they are great ever assembled. This garbage pile belongs to Andy Reid. Good Bye and thanks for leaving such a mess. You were right about 1 thing...

I gotta do a better job, week in and week out.Jimmy Johnson was the backbone of the eagles.when he passed so did the eagles. The win record belongs to Johnson not ( we gotta do abetter job ) Reid. Kansas won't make the playoffs in the next three years.

My prediction: That candy-apple-red Chiefs apparel is going to be less than flattering on Andy.

How about if we give Andy Reid a chance? he is no longer in Philly...why would you attack him? I wish he and his family a wonderful new adventure and all the best.
