Photo Gallery: Honoring King's Legacy With Service And Song

On Jan. 14, Lower Merion School District students, families and community members participated in an Afternoon of Service.

On Friday, Jan. 14, Lower Merion School District students, families, teachers and community members participated in the district's Afternoon of Service in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.

The event included a variety of volunteer opportunities and activities, along with a presentation from Harriton High School students about King's life and the Civil Rights Movement.

This is the second year LMSD has organized an Afternoon of Service, and participation has more than doubled since last year, founder and LMSD parent Jennifer Milani said. To read more about the event, click here.
