Harcum Dental Hygiene Students Take 2nd Place

State competition featured about 50 presentations.

The following was provided to Patch by Harcum College:

A table-clinic presentation on HPV and Oral Cancer presented by Harcum College Dental Hygiene students Jocelyn Drabek Pinder, Shaunee Opalka, and Danielle Lohin tied for 2nd place at the Pennsylvania Dental Hygienists Association (PDHA) Annual Session in Erie Pennsylvania on Friday, October 25. They competed against approximately 50 research presentations from Dental Hygiene programs throughout the state.
The PDHA president Alberta Landis had this to say about their presentation: "It was a great honor to be present when Jocelyn, Shawnee and Daniella were presented their table clinic award during their student luncheon. You should all be very proud of these outstanding students for their hard work. I can also say that their looked very professional, acted like true professionals and were very enthusiastic and passionate about their PDHA Annual Session experience. As the PDHA President as well as an Adjunct Harcum faculty, I could not have been any prouder. Continued success with your great program."
Their table clinic was also featured during Harcum College's Homecoming celebration in the Strauss Family Library Rotunda.
