Summer Institute for the Gifted @ Bryn Mawr

SIG is a program of the National Society for the Gifted & Talented, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization created to honor and encourage gifted and talented (G&T) children and youth. It is committed to celebrating and advancing the academic, creative, and leadership abilities and potential of gifted and talented students.

Through more than 25 years of experience and resources in gifted education, SIG provides a unique environment for gifted and talented students to connect with peers in a community of like-minded learners from all over the world who share common interests, abilities and goals.

Students will benefit from unique programming, which combines academics with social, cultural and recreational opportunities for a truly engaging summer. Courses are led by skilled instructors who have expertise in their disciplines and represent an array of professional backgrounds.

These 3-week summer sessions will allow your child to mature and develop in every element of his or her life, developing long-lasting and meaningful relationships, increasing in self-confidence and thinking in divergent ways, all within a safe and secure environment at a prestigious campus. No matter which program option you choose, you can rest assured the overall atmosphere of SIG will nurture and grow your child's gifts.

At Bryn Mawr College, we have many different program options for our students. We have our Residential program where students stay on campus for 3-weeks, we have our Commuter option where students can have all the advantages of the residential program, but commute to and from the program. The Residential and Residential Commuter option are for students ages 9-17. The dates for this program are July 1-July 21.

We also have the Bryn Mawr Day Program for students ages 5-8. This program lasts until 4:00 pm and runs from July 2 to July 20th.

Finally, we also have our College Week. Academically talented teens preparing for college have many questions...How do I find a college that’s a good academic fit? Are there college programs for gifted students? What is a public ivy school? What’s the difference between an honors program and honors college? Find these answers and many more at SIG College Week! Program runs July 21-July 28, for students ages 15-18.
