History of News Reporting Panel

How have the ways journalists find and share information changed over the last century? How have new technologies, more interactive forms of communication, and the 24-hour cycle affected news reporting? What does the future of journalism look like, and will traditional print newspapers be part of that future?

Explore these questions and more with Philadelphia area reporters and experts on Wednesday, October 26th at Rosemont College. The “History of News Reporting” panel discussion will be held at 6:30 p.m. in Lawrence Hall auditorium. It is free and open to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and members of the public.

  • Jenice Armstrong, Daily News Columnist and contributor on NBC’s “The 10! Show”
  • Ian Bush, anchor, reporter, and editor for KYW Newsradio
  • Dr. Susan Jacobson, assistant professor in the department of journalism at Temple University 

The discussion will be moderated by Chanda Gilmore, assistant professor of communications in Rosemont’s Undergraduate College, and Lynn Rosen, director of the graduate publishing program for the Schools of Graduate and Professional Studies. There will be time for the audience to ask the panelists questions, and refreshments will be served.
