Summer Road Repaving Program to Begin in June

Lower Merion Township Commissioners approved a contractor Wednesday.

A contractor for Lower Merion Township's summer road repaving program was approved at Wednesday night's Board of Commissioners meeting.

The first of two phases of repaving—about 68,110 square yards of milling—should begin about June 18 and end July 20.

After some questions from commissioners about contributions from (which contributes money when roads are to be repaved by the township, rather than repaving just a patch of road after work is done), Joseph E. Sucher & Sons, Inc. was unanimously approved to complete the project in two phases for about $199,000 total.
