Jenny Brown Votes in Gladwyne

Brown is running for Montgomery County commissioner on the Republican ticket with Bruce Castor.

Jenny Brown and her husband, Rick, showed up to vote at the Gladwyne Presbyterian Church at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Brown, who is currently the Ward 2 commissioner for Lower Merion Township, is running on the Republican ticket along with Bruce Castor for Montgomery County commissioner. Brown and Castor are running against Democrats Josh Shapiro and Leslie Richards. Voters can select two candidates, and the three candidates with the most votes will earn seats on the board.

Jenny and Rick Brown were the 25th and 26th voters of the day at Gladwyne Presbyterian since the polls opened at 7 a.m. The two were married there in 1992.

They brought their daughter, Sara, 5, along with them to vote. Their 12-year-old son Jack was already in school for the day at The Haverford School.

"Well, at least I got one vote," Jenny Brown said with a laugh after she had cast her ballot.
