Bryn Mawr Fire Co. Seeks More Public Funding

The volunteer fire company is asking Radnor Township for more money.

Representatives of the asked the Radnor Board of Commissioners on Monday for more funding, reports Main Line Media News.

An increase in the township’s annual contribution for operational funding was requested. Radnor currently contributes $50,000 to the fire company and previously has given about $40,000.

The volunteer fire company is asking for about $167,000 in annual operational funding from Radnor Township.

"In addition it is seeking, beginning in 2012, an annual contribution of $38,000 for apparatus replacement and $14,000 for building upkeep, for a total of $219,000," reports the newspaper.
