Bryn Mawr 100 Presents Gift to Bryn Mawr Beautiful
The old and new organizations celebrate the village.
The Bryn Mawr 100, a group of 19 institutions in Bryn Mawr that are more than a century old, gathered in 2011 for the first celebration in what aims to be an annual event.
Bryn Mawr Beautiful is a non-profit that works to beautify the town, such as maintaining the garden near the gazebo behind Ludington Library on Bryn Mawr Avenue.
Through funds raised by the Bryn Mawr 100 last year, the group gave a $500 gift to Bryn Mawr Beautiful. Dave Fish, of John Fish Jewelers, and Kathy Bogosian, of the Camera Shop, were at the Lower Merion Township Board of Commissioners meeting Wednesday night to present the check to Hank Wilson and Bobbie McElroy of Bryn Mawr Beautiful.

"Tonight, we want to recognize two organizations that have been vital to the community—one old and one new," said Commissioner Scott Zelov, who represents Bryn Mawr and Haverford. "Thank you for all your volunteer work."
The second annual Bryn Mawr 100 celebration will take place Sept. 8 this year.
