Police: Villanova Student with Fake IDs Tries to Hit Cop at Kelly’s

The following information has been supplied by the Lower Merion Police Department.

On Monday afternoon, reported to news media the following incidents from the past week in Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne:

Underage drinking: Responding to a call at about 1:20 a.m. on Feb. 5, about an alcohol overdose on the 100 block of N. Merion Avenue in Bryn Mawr, officers and paramedics discovered Grace Ward, 20, of the 200 block of N. Merion Avenue, police said. Ward was transported to for treatment and cited for underage drinking.

Public drunkenness: Melvin Dunn, 49, of the 500 block of E. Penn Street in Philadelphia, was arrested and charged with public drunkenness on the evening of Feb. 1, police said.

Theft: Some time between Feb. 1 and 3, a 6 foot fountain statue weighing about 100 pounds was stolen from the south side of a home on the 1200 block of Aromink Road in Villanova, police said. No value was given and no suspects or descriptions were given.
