Thief Takes Campers' Phones at Bryn Mawr College

The following information has been supplied by the Lower Merion Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

On Monday afternoon,  reported to news media the following incidents from the past week in Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne:

Theft from building: Nine iPhones and a BlackBerry were discovered missing July 28 from a youth camp at . No one suspicious was seen or heard in the area at the time.

Theft from building: An Apple iPad was stolen from a man at Rosemont Square the morning of July 31. The shopper went to use a restroom and could not find his iPad when he emerged. The tracking application was later activated, and it narrowed down the iPad's location as somewhere in Chinatown, but the device has not been found.

Public intoxication: Residents near Conshohocken State Road and Mill Creek Road complained a 25-year-old West Philadelphia resident was knocking on doors Aug. 2. The woman could not tell police why she was in the area; she was cited for public intoxication.
