Serial Bank Robber Caught, Police Say
Police have arrested a man they say is responsible for nine local bank robberies in the past three weeks.
Police have charged Philadelphia resident Tarik Hooks, 35, with multiple counts of bank robbery after they say he robbed nine banks in three weeks in the Philadelphia area.
From Feb. 2 to Feb. 21, police say Hooks robbed the TD Bank on West Lancaster Ave. in Haverford and then eight other banks in the Philadelphia area, including two banks in Bala Cynwyd.
Police say Hooks robbed the Citizens Bank inside the Acme on City Avenue in Bala Cynwyd and then several more banks from Roxborough to Landsdowne.
