Police Seek Bryn Mawr Bank Robbery Suspect

Police are asking for help identifying a man who allegedly robbed Wells Fargo Bank in Bryn Mawr around noon.

Lower Merion police are seeking a suspect who allegedly robbed the Wells Fargo Bank in Bryn Mawr (52 N. Bryn Mawr Ave.) shortly after noon on Friday, according to a Lower Merion Police Department press release. Two photos of the man, caught on video tape, are attached.

The full press release reads:

On Friday October 12, at 12:10 p.m., a lone male entered the Wells Fargo Bank branch at 52 N. Bryn Mawr Avenue, in Bryn Mawr. The male presented a teller with a demand note and fled with an undetermined amount of cash. A witness observed the male enter a dark-colored mini-van on the north side of the Bryn Mawr Train Station that was occupied by a second black male.

The actor inside the bank is described as a black male, 6’ tall, 200 lbs., wearing a dark colored sweatshirt. The male was captured on surveillance video and we are asking for the public’s help in identifying the male in the photos. Anyone with information should call 610-649-1000.
