The Bucks County district attorney's office has confirmed to The Intelligencer that fraud charges may be filed by the end of the month against sports broadcaster Don Tollefson after detectives investigated allegations that Tollefson sold ticket packages to raise money for his charities, but never provided the tickets.

Tollefson has been under fire since the allegations came to light during an NBC 10 report in October. One of the events under investigation is Tollefson's participation as emcee of the Officer Brad Fox 5K Run/Walk at Warminster Community Park in April 2013.

The money raised from race registrations went directly to the Fox Children's Fund without incident, according to race officials. However, Tollefson, who emceed the event, allegedly sold separate football ticket packages and pledged to donate half the proceeds to the Children's Fund, with the other half going to his own non-profits. Shortly after the original allegations were made public, the race organizers claimed they never received money from Tollefson.

Philly.com reports that more than 100 complaints had been filed in Bucks County, totaling more than $200,000. Tollefson did not appear in Montgomery County court Thursday to defend himself against accusations from an Allentown couple that purchased a Super Bowl ticket package but never received promised airfare.

Oreland District Judge Katherine McGill awarded a $3,000 judgment against Tollefson, who has 30 days to appeal, according to Philly.com.
