UPDATE: Police: Teen Caught in Act of Burglary

The teen was intoxicated, police said.

A teen was arrested Wednesday morning and has been charged with burglary, Lower Merion Township Police said Thursday.

The teen, identified by The Philadelphia Inquirer as 19-year-old Ryan Bangs, entered a home on the 100 block of Simpson Road in Ardmore around 6:30 a.m., police said. He was able to get inside through an unlocked door. Bangs was intoxicated, police said.

Bangs took cash, a cell phone and liquor from the home, police told the Inquirer, as well as items from two vehicles in the area. 

Bangs has been charged with burglary, theft from a motor vehicle and underage drinking.
