Police Looking Into Pair of Burglaries at Belmont Hills Pool

No arrests have been made.

With temperatures flirting with triple digits, young swimmers aren't the only ones with sticky fingers Belmont Hills Pool is attracting.

According to Lower Merion Police, on two separate occasions in recent weeks an office at the township pool was broken into.

Police say the first burglary took place overnight between June 9 and June 10. During that time, the department says someone slipped into the pool's office through an unlocked window and stole a small amount of cash.

The second break-in was discovered the morning of June 12 by a Lower Merion Police officer. During a check of the property,  the officer noticed a window to the same office had been slid open.

While police say they found nothing missing—Belmont Hills staff had moved the money box to a different location after the first theft—the office had apparently been rummaged through.
