Police: Burglary, Attempted Burglary in Gladwyne

A stolen vehicle was also recovered, police said.

Lower Merion police reported the following incidents to news media on Monday afternoon. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

Burglary: Sometime between July 12 and 17, a building on the 800 block of Merion Square Road in Gladwyne was broken into, according to police. Two panes of glass were broken on a second-floor window, but it did not appear that anything was missing, police said.

Attempted burglary: Police responded to a report of a shattered window on July 22 on the 1100 block of Norsam Road in Gladwyne, police said. Sometime between 9:45 and 2:30 p.m., someone had attempted to enter through the window. The window, however, was apparently old and wouldn’t open, despite the broken glass, police said.
