Police Blotter: Thieves Hit Dorm Rooms
The following information has been supplied by the Lower Merion Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.
On Monday afternoon, Lower Merion police reported to news media the following incidents from the past week in Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne:
Theft: A resident of Heffernan Hall at discovered April 10 an Xbox 360 had been stolen from a dorm room sometime in the previous three days. The room had been locked and there were no signs of forced entry.
Theft: An Apple MacBook Pro was reported stolen from a room in Klein Hall at April 9 or April 10. The room had been locked and there were no signs of forced entry.

Public intoxication: Staff at called police about 11:30 a.m. April 10 to report a man making verbal threats at the bar. Michael Shields, 26, of Devon was arrested and charged with public intoxication.
Public intoxication: Felipe DeLaguarda-Greene, 20, of the 1000 block of Lancaster Avenue in Bryn Mawr was cited on his block about 10 p.m. April 13 when, police said, he stood in the street and hailed a police car, mistaking it for a taxi.

Public intoxication: Jesse Kasser, 24, of the 200 block of Roberts Road was cited for public intoxication after being found unconscious on concrete steps at Lancaster Avenue and Roberts Road, police said; his blood alcohol content was 0.23.
