Police Blotter: Public Drunkenness, Stolen Registration Plate

The following information has been supplied by the Lower Merion Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

On Monday afternoon,  reported to news media the following incidents from the past week in Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne:

Public drunkenness: Police responded to the in Rosemont on a report of an uncooperative customer who refused to pay for items he ate about 2:28 a.m. March 2. Justin Payne, 21, of the 300 block of Creek Drive in Wayne, was charged with public intoxication.

Public drunkenness: Police responded to in Bryn Mawr on a report of an intoxicated pedestrian at 1:13 a.m. March 2. Lindsey Davidson, 23, of Rochester, NY, was charged with public drunkenness, police said.

Public drunkenness: Police responded to the 500 block of Barrett Avenue in Haverford about 3:22 a.m. March 4, and a man had broken a glass pane on the door and was standing on the front porch, police said. Aaron Poorman, 40, of the 200 block of S. Bryn Mawr Ave. in Bryn Mawr, was charged with public drunkenness, police said.

Theft of registration plate: Police said a registration plate was stolen from a 2009 Honda CR-V parked on the east side of Roberts Road in Bryn Mawr near the corner of Floyd Terrace. The theft occurred sometime overnight between March 4 and 5, police said. The plate was entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC), police said.
