Police Blotter: Man Indecently Exposes Himself in Bryn Mawr; Several Thefts Reported

The following information has been supplied by the Lower Merion Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

Indecent Exposure: Police said a female victim reported an indecent exposure that occurred at 10:10 p.m. June 15 on the 1000 block of Lancaster Avenue. Police said the woman was sitting on a bench on the south side of Lancaster Avenue and saw an unidentified man on the other side of the street in an alley facing her direction and masturbating. Police said the woman immediately left the area in her car and drove straight to the police station in Ardmore to report the incident.

Burglary: Police said a homeowner on the 1400 block of Abbey Lane in Gladwyne reported a burglary that occurred overnight between June 16 and June 17. Police said the homeowner returned and noticed a glass jug broken on the floor, and found several items broken in the kitchen. Three custom engraved 6-inch silver plates, valued at $100 each, and four wooden falcon stands, worth $700 total, were stolen from the residence.

Theft: A wallet was stolen from a customer at Cosi in Bryn Mawr at lunch time on June 13, police said. The theft was reported later that evening. Police said the wallet was stolen while the customer was eating lunch. The black tri-fold wallet was worth $200, and it contained $280 in cash and credit cards, which were used at numerous stores at the King of Prussia mall.

Theft: Police said $150 was stolen from a wallet in a car parked on the 300 block of Greenbank Road in Rosemont overnight between June 15 and June 16. The car was unlocked, police said.

Theft: Police said five copper downspouts were stolen from a residence on the 1200 block of Rock Creek Road in Gladwyne overnight between June 10 and June 11. The downspouts were reported stolen June 16, police said.

Public Intoxication: Police said a man was arrested at 8:50 p.m. June 16 on the 100 block of Ardmore Avenue in Ardmore and was charged with public intoxication. Police said the man, Scott Cohen, 20, of the 600 block of Dayton Road in Bryn Mawr, called police and said somebody had been after him. When police responded, they said Cohen was smoking marijuana and was under the influence to a degree that he was a danger to himself and others.
