Police Blotter: Liquor Law Violation, Public Drunkenness

The following information has been provided by the Lower Merion Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

On Tuesday afternoon, Lower Merion police reported to news media the following incidents from the past week in the Bryn Mawr-Gladwyne Patch coverage area:

Liquor law violation: On Sept. 22 at 2:52 a.m., police responded to a report of an unconscious male on the 800 block of W Montgomery Ave. in Bryn Mawr. An 18-year-old Villanova student found unconscious and unresponsive in the middle of a driveway; he was taken to the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, police said. He was issued a citation for public drunkenness and another for liquor law violation, according to the report.

Disorderly conduct: Two Villanova students were cited for disorderly conduct on Sept. 21 due to excessively loud music at their apartment complex at 800 block of W Montgomery Ave., police said.

Public drunkenness: A 22-year-old Doylestown man was issued a citation for public drunkenness early Saturday morning on the 800 block of Lancaster Avenue in Bryn Mawr, police said. The man was laying on the ground—half on the sidewalk and half in a parking space—and mumbling unintelligibly when police found him, according to the report.
