Police Blotter: Burglary in Gladwyne, Public Drunkenness in Bryn Mawr

The following information has been supplied by the Lower Merion Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

On Monday afternoon,  reported to news media the following incidents from the past week in Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne:

Burglary: At 12:25 p.m. on May 8, police received an alarm call from the 1000 block of Stony Lane in Gladwyne. Police responded to the call and found the side door of the house leading to the laundry room had been forced open. Police said there had been minor ransacking of the house, but nothing was reported missing.

Criminal mischief to vehicle: The driver's side mirror was smashed on a vehicle parked on South Roberts Road overnight from May 11 to 12, police said.

Public drunkenness: At 1:14 a.m. on May 9, police stopped a male and female in a parking lot on the 1100 block of West Lancaster Avenue. Both had slurred speech and appeared intoxicated; the woman had no shoes and was covered in dirt, police said. Jared Katch, 21, of Pottstown, and Eryn O’Shaugnessy, 22, from Cumming, GA, were arrested and charged with public drunkenness.
