Police Blotter: Bryn Mawr Man Charged with Assaulting Neighbor

Simple assault: John Taylor, 46, of the 1000 block of Floyd Terrace in Bryn Mawr was arrested and charged with simple assault and harassment about 12:30 a.m. Saturday after a scuffle with his roommate that led to the roommate needing medical treatment. Taylor was released on $5,000 bail, police said. No information was available on the roommate or the roommate's medical condition.

Public intoxication: A 21-year-old man of the 800 block of Summit Grove Avenue in Bryn Mawr was arrested and charged with public intoxication about 1 a.m. Tuesday on the unit block of Thomas Avenue in Bryn Mawr, police said. The man was treated at Bryn Mawr Hospital for facial injuries from a fall, police said.

Theft from vehicle: A resident on the unit block of Prospect Avenue in Bryn Mawr reported Friday morning that the DVD player and registration had been stolen from the vehicle overnight.

Theft from vehicle: The items stolen from a vehicle on the unit block of North Roberts Road overnight Thursday into Friday included a laptop computer, iPod Touch, stereo equipment, textbooks, a backpack and sunglasses, police said.

Theft from vehicle: A Garmin GPS unit was stolen from a vehicle on the 900 block of West Montgomery Avenue in Bryn Mawr late Thursday or early Friday, police said.
