Police Activity: Possession of Cocaine, Heroin

Authorities also responded to two fires during the week.

 police responded to 202 calls the week of Aug. 27 through Sept. 2 throughout Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne, up from , department records show.

During that week, police calls (which do not necessarily indicate arrests were made or charges filed) included:

  • 5 animal incidents, including three involving dogs, one with deer and one "all other"
  • 6 disorderly conduct citations
  • 1 case of possession of cocaine and heroin
  • 2 fires in Bryn Mawr: one Sept. 1 about 11 p.m. on the 600 block of Winsford Road, and one Aug. 31 about 6:35 p.m. on the 800 block of Lafayette Road
  • 1 vehicle accident with injuries, about 12:15 p.m. Aug. 27 at Warner and Lancaster avenues
  • 8 vehicle accidents with property damage
  • 1 citation for public drunkenness
  • 3 thefts
