Police: 9 People, 1 Car, 7 Underage Drinking Citations

The traffic stop happened Saturday night.

A packed car led to seven underage drinking citations in Rosemont on Saturday night, Lower Merion police told news media on Monday. 

According to the report, around 11:38 p.m. on Saturday, a police officer on patrol noticed a Ford Taurus in Rosemont that appeared to have a few too many people in it.

Upon stopping the car, the officer discovered that there were nine people inside the vehicle. Seven passengers, all between ages 18 and 20, were cited for underage drinking, police said.
