Man Honks Horn, Gets Punched in Face, Police Say

The peculiar instance of road range occurred in Ardmore last week.

A 51-year-old Drexel Hill man was arrested in Ardmore last week after Lower Merion Police say he punched a driver in the face for honking, presumably at him.

Raymond Quigley was arrested and charged with simple assault, harassment  and disorderly conduct stemming from the incident.

According to police, on Thursday sometime before 7:30 a.m., a driver attempted to pull out of a parking space in front of U.S. Supply Company, located at 51 Greenfield Ave. in Ardmore, but found that he was blocked by another car.

Police say the driver began honking at the vehicle in the hopes of getting it to move, when Quigley, who the driver described as "irate," approached him.

Quigley began yelling at the driver and eventually, according to police, punched him through his open window.
