Lower Merion Police Arrest Man Sought in Multiple Robberies

The Philadelphia man also is a suspect in a Haverford Township robbery.

Lower Merion Police on Thursday arrested a man whom they believe is responsible for several area robberies.

The man, Willie Wayne Terry of the 4200 block of Parkside Avenue in Philadelphia, was arrested at about 12:50 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, at Lord & Taylor on City Avenue in Bala Cynwyd. Terry is suspected of stealing several watches from the store, police said.

Terry's description matched several open cases in the region, police said. Among them was a case being investigated by Haverford Township Police. Haverford Police responded and interviewed Terry, and said they plan to file charges against him.

Lower Merion Police said other area police departments have similar open cases and will be focusing their investigations on Terry.
