Hunters Find Man Hanging from Tree

The man was from the Bryn Mawr area, Radnor police said.

On Monday morning hunters on private property found a man hanging from a tree in the Garrett Hill/Beaupre section of Radnor Township in the woods off of Lewis Lane.

The death does not look suspicious, said Lt. Christopher Flanagan of the Radnor Police Department. But police are awaiting a ruling from the Delaware County Medical Examiner's Office. The man is from the Bryn Mawr area, he said.

The discovery was made at around 9:40 a.m., Flanagan said. Bow hunting is allowed on private property with the permission of the owner, he said.

If it is ruled a suicide it would be the second one Radnor Police have dealt within a week. Recently a Wayne man shot himself in a parking lot in the 600 block of Conestoga Road.
