Family Carjacked at Gunpoint from Radnor Business Monday, Police Say

Police are looking for help in catching a man who forced himself into a family's car and stole their wallets and cell phones.

A family was carjacked at gunpoint at around 8 p.m. on Monday night in the parking lot of Micro Center in St. Davids.

According to Radnor Township Police Lieutenant Christopher Flanagan, the family of three was packing up items they had purchased at the electronics store when a man approached them and asked to help.

They declined, and soon after he returned and told them to get into their car, flashing a small semi-automatic handgun that was in his waistband.

According to police, the man drove the family across Lancaster Avenue to the parking lot of 555 East Lancaster Avenue behind Philadelphia Sports Club.

There, he loaded their packages, which contained about $2,000 worth of electronics, into a white Toyota Avalon. He also took their wallets and cell phones.
