DUI Checkpoints Scheduled St. Patrick's Day Weekend

Combined with roving patrols, the checkpoints are funded by PennDOT.

Impaired-driving checkpoints and roving patrols have been planned throughout Lower Merion from Friday, March 16 through Sunday, March 18, according to a township release.

A special focus will be placed on college and underage drinking, the release states. The initiative is in conjunction with a national crackdown on impaired driving, which tells motorists: "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over."

PennDOT is funding the sobriety checkpoints, according to the release.
