Drunk Stranger Sleeps in Rosemont Yard, Police Say

On Monday afternoon,  reported to news media the following incidents from the past week in Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne:

  • Public intoxication: A man was found sleeping in a back yard on the 1400 block of Orchard Way in Rosemont about 8:15 a.m. June 23, police said. The homeowners did not know him. His blood alcohol level registered 0.16, police said.
  • DUI: A man was arrested about 1 a.m. June 22 after, police said, he ran a stop sign at Morris Avenue and Old Gulph Road in Bryn Mawr, reversed through the intersection, ran over a curb and was pulled over on the 1100 block of Spring Mill Road in Villanova. His blood alcohol level registered 0.15, police said.
  • Public intoxication: A man staggering in the road on the 1000 block of Spring Mill Road about 2:25 a.m. June 24 was cited for public intoxication. His blood alcohol level tested at 0.15, police said; he was walking home from the Marriott Hotel in West Conshohocken.
