Drug Possession, Criminal Mischief in Police Blotter

Read two recent police reports in Bryn Mawr.

The following information was provided by Lower Merion Police Department.

Drug possession, disorderly conduct

A 24-year-old Ardmore man was cited for public drunkenness, drug possession and disorderly conduct at 12:06 a.m. on April 12. Police on patrol heard screaming from Maloney’s Pub, and saw the man in question yelling and trying to push his way into the bar, where he said his sister was, according to police. Security at the bar told police the man had been refused entry when he presented an ID that said he was 32. In speaking with the man, police noticed a strong odor of alcohol, and despite asking the man to give his correct address several times, the 24-year-old Ardmore man continued to  give false names, according to the report. He was arrested and while on the way to police headquarters, gave police his real name. Police found what appeared to be Oxycodone among the man’s possessions, and he will be charged with drug possession, police said.

Police are looking for a student residing in College Hall who threw two Heineken bottles at a car, smashing its back window, police said. At 6:02 p.m. on April 12, a parent picking a child up at the Shipley School had the back window of his car smashed. Witnesses saw a man throw the bottles, then run into an apartment on the third floor of 801 W Montgomery Ave., according to the report. Several witnesses saw the incident, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
