DA: Ex-Sacred Heart Tennis Coach Sent Sexual Messages, Kissed Student

Charles M. Meredith will be arraigned Friday on charges of corrupting a minor.

Charles M. Meredith, a former tennis coach at Sacred Heart Day School in Bryn Mawr, has been arrested and will be charged with corrupting a minor, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office announced Friday.

Meredith, 52, is accused of sending sexual messages to and kissing a 15-year-old Sacred Heart student, Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman said. The accusations stem from incidents that occurred between August and October of this year. It is unclear when Meredith left his position at Sacred Heart.

Meredith was set to be arraigned Friday morning by Magisterial District Justice Francis J. Bernhardt on charges of corrupting a minor. A preliminary hearing date will be set.

The case will be prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Jordan Friter.
