Crime Stats: Bryn Mawr Burglaries and Fire

Calls to police decreased week to week.

Lower Merion police this week released police-activity statistics for the week ending Sunday, Dec. 30.

Police responded to 149 calls that week throughout Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne, down from 176 calls the previous week, department records show.

Police calls (which do not necessarily indicate arrests were made or charges filed) included:

  • 4 animal incidents
  • 1 attempted suicide
  • 4 burglaries: Dec. 25 on the first block of Thomas Avenue in Bryn Mawr and three on Dec. 30 on the 800 block of West Montgomery Avenue in Bryn Mawr
  • 5 domestic disputes
  • 1 fire, Dec. 24 on the 300 block of Millbank Road in Bryn Mawr
  • 9 car crashes with property damage
  • 1 citation for public drunkenness, Dec. 29 at Lancaster and Montrose avenues in Rosemont
  • 3 thefts
