Lower Merion police this weekend released police-activity statistics for the week ending Sunday, Dec. 16.
Police responded to 149 calls that week throughout Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne, down from 179 calls the previous week, department records show.

Police calls (which do not necessarily indicate arrests were made or charges filed) included:
- 9 animal incidents
- 1 burglary, Dec. 16 on the first block of Prospect Avenue in Bryn Mawr
- 1 disorderly conduct case
- 3 domestic disputes
- 1 appliance fire, Dec. 11 on the 1300 block of Valley Road in Villanova
- 11 car crashes with property damage
- 1 simple assault, Dec. 14 on the 900 block of West Lancaster Avenue in Bryn Mawr
