Burglars Pry at Windows of Three Local Homes

Gladwyne and Rosemont residences were targeted.

Lower Merion police on Monday reported three attempted burglaries from the Bryn Mawr-Gladwyne Patch area in the past week:

Attempted burglary: About 8:20 p.m. Jan. 16 on the 1200 block of Club House Road in Gladwyne, someone removed a window screen and pried open the master bedroom window, activating a security alarm, police said. Nothing was reported stolen.

Attempted burglary: About 9:30 p.m. Jan. 16 on the 1200 block of Wendover Road in Rosemont, police said, two residents returned from dinner and heard strange noises inside. A window was found standing open and muddy footprints were found between the window and the rear door, police said. A neighbor told police she saw someone leave that area and run toward the Rosemont train station. Nothing was known to have been stolen, police said.

Attempted burglary: Sometime between noon Jan. 14 and 8:50 a.m. Jan. 17 on the 1200 block of Club House Road in Gladwyne, someone pried open a rear dining room window of a house about to be shown by a real estate agent, police said. Nothing was known to have been stolen.
