Burglaries in Bryn Mawr, Gladwyne Reported

One homeowner had locked up and another hadn't, but both were victimized, Lower Merion police say.

Residents of a Bryn Mawr home and a Gladwyne home reported burglaries last week, Lower Merion police said.

  1. Many pieces of jewelry were taken from a Gladwyne home during a daytime burglary Aug. 26. Between 10:30 a.m. and 2:20 p.m., someone forced open a back window on the 1100 block of Maple Crest Circle and ransacked the master bedroom. The homeowner returned and called 911 after finding the front door ajar and the basement light switched on.
  2. Someone took a laptop and an iPad tablet from a home on the first block of North Roberts Road in Bryn Mawr sometime between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28. A side door is usually left unlocked there.

If you have seen anything suspicious in your neighborhood, report it to Lower Merion police at 610-649-1000 or Narberth police at 610-664-8160.
