Bryn Mawr Apartments Burglarized, Police Say

Lower Merion police briefed media Monday morning.

The following incidents happened over the past week in the Bryn Mawr-Gladwyne area, according to Lower Merion police:

Burglary: Two apartments at Bryn Mawr Court were broken into on Dec. 30, police said. Around 6 p.m. on Sunday, an officer found an exterior door forced open and began checking the apartments, eventually finding two apartments that had rear doors forced open, police said. In both cases, the victims were college students gone for the holidays, so it is unknown at this time what was stolen.

Public drunkenness: A 21-year-old Wayne man was cited for public drunkenness around 1:37 a.m. on Dec. 29. The man was seen stumbling along Lancaster Avenue near Montrose Avenue in Bryn Mawr, and immediately admitted to an officer than he was very drunk, according to the report. He registered 0.23 on a preliminary breath test, according to the report.
