3 New Year's Burglaries in Bryn Mawr, Rosemont

One of the buildings targeted was a house for college students.

On Monday afternoon, Lower Merion police announced three burglaries from the past week in Bryn Mawr and Rosemont:

  • 1000 block of County Line Road, sometime Dec. 31 to Jan. 2: A living room window was smashed in at a house rented by college students on winter break. A 40-inch television was among the items stolen.
  • 800 block of Old Lancaster Road, before the morning of Jan. 2: An envelope with $5 cash was found missing from a pried-open drawer in a medical office. It was unclear how entry was gained.
  • First block of Franklin Avenue, sometime the afternoon Dec. 31 to early the morning of Jan. 1: An iPad, iPod Nano and digital camera were taken from the house. The occupant was unsure whether he had locked the back door, and investigators believe that was the point of entry.
